Shipping Clerk
Pay: $16.50 - $17/hr, paid weekly
Location: Archdale, NC 27263
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Mandatory overtime, including weekends as needed.

Overview
Support daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations by inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, processing transactions in SAP, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role combines warehouse, quality inspection, and logistics responsibilities to ensure products meet company and customer quality standards before shipment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Process shipments using UPS, FedEx, and other shipping systems.
- Perform SAP transactions for shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and returns.
- Process RMAs (returned materials) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure products are packaged properly to prevent damage during shipment.
- Deliver materials to designated production or warehouse locations.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
Quality Inspection
- Perform incoming, in-process, first article, and final inspections using engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and scales to verify dimensions and product quality.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials and generate Quality Notifications (QN) in SAP.
- Quarantine defective materials and coordinate rework and reinspection with production and quality teams.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support quality and process audits.
Inventory & Compliance
- Maintain accurate inventory transactions and support cycle counts.
- Follow ISO quality standards and shipping/export requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area using 5S principles.
- Communicate quality, inventory, or shipping issues to supervisors promptly.
- Use SAP and Microsoft Office to complete documentation and daily tasks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
- Quality inspection or QA/QC experience is a plus.
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Forklift experience or the ability to become certified.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
