A Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing packaging and processing shipments while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling outgoing and incoming orders. This role requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and package products for shipping according to company standards. • Generate and print shipping labels and documentation (e.g. invoices, packing slips). • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS, freight companies). • Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy, including proper labeling and documentation.
Receiving and Inspecting Incoming Shipments:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies.
Maintaining and Updating Shipping Records:
Maintain and update shipping records in the system. Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Assisting with Inventory Control:
Assist with inventory control by keeping accurate records of shipments and stock levels.
