Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Previous shipping and receiving experience required
• Forklift experience required (sit-down or stand-up forklift experience accepted)
• Experience with inventory control and cycle counting is a plus
• Comfortable using Excel and basic computer programs for data entry and recordkeeping
• Strong communication skills for working with internal departments by phone and email

Job Duties

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately
• Receive and verify returned customer hardware and purchase order deliveries
• Enter shipment and receiving information into Excel spreadsheets
• Verify serial numbers, quantities, and product information for accuracy
• Coordinate with sales and other departments regarding inventory and shipments
• Operate forklifts to move, stage, and store materials
• Assist with inventory management and cycle counting activities
• Maintain organized shipping and receiving records
• Follow established receiving procedures based on customer and product requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely load, unload, and organize products in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and production conditions as required.

What You Will Do

As a Shipping Clerk you will receive incoming shipments, inspect materials, prepare outbound orders, verify inventory, organize warehouse stock, complete shipping and receiving documentation, and help maintain accurate inventory records. You will safely move products throughout the warehouse while supporting efficient shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment operations.

A Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating the movement of products into and out of a warehouse while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient distribution operations. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Successful Shipping Clerk professionals understand receiving procedures, shipping documentation, inventory practices, and material handling techniques. Accuracy and consistency help ensure products are received, stored, and shipped correctly.
