Shipping Clerk

Location: Strasburg Facility

Reports to: Office Manager (Shipping & Logistics)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, flexible based on needs of department

Pay: Salary Non-Exempt

Summary

The Shipping Clerk serves as a critical link between drivers, customers, and internal departments to ensure products are accurately tracked, moved, and delivered. This position is responsible for resolving product discrepancies, coordinating customer and employee pickups, managing returns and reships, and providing exceptional internal customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly. Candidate is expected to uphold and represent ProVia' s purpose, vision, mission, and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Investigate missing product on behalf of drivers and customers, including locating product within the facility and moving it to the appropriate location when necessary.
  • Coordinate and facilitate product transfers between departments.
  • Manage customer and employee order pickups, including locating product and assisting with loading.
  • Upload photos from mobile devices and assign them to the appropriate truck or shipment records.
  • Process damaged product returns, including locating product and coordinating transfer to the appropriate department.
  • Manage returns and reshipments by investigating mislabeled product, correcting labeling issues, and ensuring proper shipment.
  • Provide timely and professional support to internal customers, including Logistics, Customer Service, Shipping, and other departments.
  • Inventory and track phones/scanners for loading teams.
  • Provide team coverage as needed, including:
  • Printing driver paperwork
  • Printing and archiving load sheets for loading crews
  • Locating parts for FedEx shipments
  • Updating weekly unit count reports
  • Printing route changes from Logistics
  • Processing product splits, damages, and date-outs
  • Creating and printing labels
  • Entering late-add orders through EntryLINK

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with standard computer applications and systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of EntryLINK and related functions preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to continuously lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while using a desktop computer, laptop, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments as needed.
