The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and safe outbound shipments while maintaining finished‑goods inventory accuracy. This role works closely with receiving and material handling teams to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm. Mandated overtime based on business need.

WHAT YOU'LL DO - Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Loads outbound shipments for customer delivery
  • Inspect outbound shipment for damage, verify quantities, and address any discrepancies
  • Must possess a keen sense of attention to detail
  • Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and reference United Alloys Master Document system for formal instructions
  • Ability to operate a forklift, overhead cranes, tape measure, calipers, and hand tools
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds with an assist
  • Must be able to read and write job numbers
  • Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Work in collaboration with receiving and material handling
  • Adheres to maintaining finished good inventory control and accuracy
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Ability to cross train in receiving
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to sustain 95% efficiency
  • Can maintain a high level of quality - must not have scrap in excess of $500 per calendar year
  • Can inspect and clean equipment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have forklift and material handling experience
  • Must have a valid drivers license with a good driving record
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and be detail oriented
