Shipping Coordinator, Cell Manufacturing

We are hiring a Shipping and Packaging Technician in support of our material movement, shipping, and packaging to support Cathode Manufacturing in Austin, Texas. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Shipping and Packaging Technician to join our team. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and safe movement of products to and from the Cathode building. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, forklift experience, and excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively with operators, lab personnel, and the management team.

• Proficiently navigate and manage information in Tesla proprietary software i.e., MFS, Warp, TMS, Flux, Adhoc
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Maintenance and Operations, and Quality Assurance to resolve logistics issues and implement action plans accordingly
• Complete documentation and record-keeping tasks accurately and on time to ensure compliance with Tesla's Transportation of Dangerous Goods policies and guidelines
• Quality control, including identification, documentation, and disposition and sampling and integrity controls
• Ensure a high-level product quality by completing tasks such as audits, 5S activities
• Participate in the continuous improvement of safety, quality, and output
• Understanding of U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous materials regulations, International Air Transport Association (IATA) dangerous goods rules, and International Maritime Organization (IMO) shipping requirements
• Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) and proper hazardous material classification and labeling
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions. Demonstrated ability to be a self-driven contributor with limited supervision
• Comfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure
• Strong verbal and written communication in English, with a hands-on mentality and willingness to work rotating shifts
• Ability to learn basic software systems Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, tuggers, pallet jacks, and flatbed carts, Forklift certification preferred

Essential Physical Demands:

• Ability to wear respiratory protection
• Must be okay with standing, bending, reaching and being on your feet for an extended period
