Our ASSA ABLOY Midwest Service Center in Carol Stream, Illinois, is looking for a Shipper to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials and finished products are accurately prepared, packaged, and shipped to support our manufacturing and customer delivery commitments.

What would you do as our Shipper?

You’ll support shipping and material handling operations by preparing customer orders, loading and unloading trucks, operating forklifts, and ensuring shipments are accurate and delivered on time.

 

You would also:

  • Load and unload trucks and stage materials
  • Pick, pack, and crate frames and other products for shipment
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Perform quality checks and maintain accurate shipping documentation
  • Organize outbound deliveries using UPS, LTL, TL, and service center trucks
  • Use computers and systems to support shipping processes
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Work overtime as needed to meet business demands

 

 

The Skills and Experience You Need:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified
  • Ability to lift 5–50 pounds regularly
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
