Overview:

Stryten Energy, manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

 

To provide leadership and direction to the Shipping department and the inventory control necessary to support continuous improvement in the manufacturing activities consistent with plant business goals, like cost, quality, and quantity specifications.

 

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions. Salary range for this role is: $68,000 – $72,000 per year.

Responsibilities:

• Receives incoming freight and enters receiving information into the mainframe to maintain efficient inventory control.
• Works with department representatives to analyze shipping needs to determine the best method of shipment (packaging and transportation).
• Coordinates with Corporate Sales choosing brokers for export sales and loading shipments per export requirements
• Responsible for maintaining and updating all shipping records.
• Performs all duties of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk as needed.
• Maintains discipline, resolves problems, determines performance and recommends promotions, transfers or dismissals.
• Develop and implement procedures for ensuring adequate inventory levels.
• Updating safety stocks and identifying and disposing of obsolete materials.
• Training and settling up cycle counts based on ABC.
• Lead Physical Inventories
• Develops and maintains a well-trained staff, including training other areas on inventory control.
• Work with Quality on defective goods return/ disposal.
• Lead projects to reduce scrap and increase accuracy in counts.
• Acts as a liaison between two facilities in regard to inventory and ensure proper movement in IQMS system.
• Must participate in process audits.
• Other tasks may be required on an as needed basis.

• Regular attendance and timeliness is required in order to give sufficient support to the plant-wide team.
• Willingness to participate in additional educational opportunities.
• While performing the duties of this job the individual is occasionally required to vary their schedules times and shifts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years supervisory experience in shipping environment.
• Five years experience managing inventory (preferred)
• Import Export Transport Requirements
• RCRA and Transportation of hazardous waste
• Creating Hazardous Waste Manifests


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. Performs repetitive motion of fingers, hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and upper body while packing, unpacking, loading and unloading shipped goods and printed inventory. Requires dexterity of fingers to gather and pack items for shipment and enter data into computer. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


ENVIRONMENT
The position is warehouse position and requires and physical ability to operate lift truck as well as to hear warning sound of truck. Position requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment and participation in the Company’s safety training program.
