Position Overview
Our client, a growing manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is looking for a dependable and experienced Shipping & Warehouse Coordinator to join their team. This is a hands-on warehouse position responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, managing inventory, operating a sit-down forklift, and keeping the shipping and warehouse areas organized and running efficiently.
Sit-down forklift experience is required. The ideal candidate will have strong warehouse and shipping experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position will also provide support to other departments, including Pouching, when needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move products and materials throughout the facility
- Pick, stage, and scan orders for shipment
- Ensure orders are picked and shipped according to scheduled ship dates
- Prepare products and packaging for outbound shipments
- Coordinate and manage all outbound shipments
- Prepare accurate, sequentially numbered shipping paperwork
- Arrange transportation services and coordinate with carriers
- Utilize UPS/FedEx shipping software and provide shipping reports as needed
- Complete load documentation for scrap and waste disposal
- Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and critical supplies
- Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with monthly inventory accounting
- Organize and maintain inventory locations, racks, and storage areas
- Monitor packaging material inventory and ensure adequate supplies are available
- Complete daily entries and updates in Microsoft Dynamics ERP
- Keep the shipping dock and inventory areas clean, organized, and safe
- Assist with hands-on cleaning and general warehouse maintenance
- Coordinate with other departments and outside waste disposal vendors
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist in other departments, including Pouching, as needed
- Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Sit-down forklift experience is required
- Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with outbound shipping and inventory management strongly preferred
- Comfortable using computers and warehouse/ERP systems
- Microsoft Dynamics experience is a plus
- UPS/FedEx shipping software experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to accurately complete shipping and inventory documentation
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift
- Willing to assist other departments when needed
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

The ideal candidate is a hands-on warehouse professional who knows shipping and can confidently operate a sit-down forklift. This person needs to be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of the shipping and inventory areas.
This is more than a forklift position—the successful candidate will help coordinate outbound shipments, maintain inventory accuracy, complete computer and shipping documentation, and keep the warehouse operating efficiently.
