About the Role: Marlboro Manufacturing Inc is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to lead our shipping operations in Alliance, OH. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a critical function within a dynamic manufacturing environment and make a real impact on our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily shipping and outbound logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
Manage and coordinate shipping staff, including scheduling, training, and performance oversight
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, carrier requirements, and safety standards
Coordinate with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to align shipping schedules with manufacturing output
Track and manage shipment documentation, BOLs, packing lists, and freight invoices
Negotiate and maintain relationships with freight carriers and third-party logistics providers
Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to optimize shipping efficiency and reduce costs
Requirements:
Proven experience in a shipping, logistics, or distribution management role
Background in a manufacturing or industrial environment strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of freight shipping methods, carrier networks, and logistics software
Experience managing a team in a fast-paced warehouse or shipping environment
Familiarity with DOT regulations, OSHA standards, and shipping compliance requirements
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with shipping management systems, ERP software, or similar platforms
