Shipping Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping Manager to oversee all

outbound logistics and distribution operations. This role is responsible for ensuring

accurate, timely, and cost-effective shipment of goods while maintaining compliance

with company policies and transportation regulations. The ideal candidate is a strong

leader with a focus on efficiency, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping & Logistics Operations
• • Oversee daily shipping activities, including order fulfillment, packing, and dispatch
  • Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and delivered on schedule
  • Develop and implement efficient shipping procedures and workflows
  • Monitor shipping performance metrics and identify areas for improvement
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and sales teams to align shipping priorities

• Carrier & Vendor Management
• • Negotiate rates and maintain relationships with carriers and freight providers
  • Select appropriate shipping methods based on cost, urgency, and product

  • Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or lost goods
  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations

• Team Leadership
• • Supervise and train shipping staff, including scheduling and performance management
  • Promote a safe and productive work environment
  • Establish clear goals and expectations for the team

• Inventory & Documentation
• • Ensure accurate documentation for all shipments (e.g., bills of lading, packing slips, customs paperwork)
  • Collaborate with inventory teams to maintain accurate stock levels
  • Implement systems to track and report shipping data

• Quality & Compliance
• • Enforce company policies and safety standards within shipping operations
  • Maintain compliance with relevant transportation laws and regulations
  • Conduct regular audits of shipping processes and documentation

• Problem Solving & Customer Support
• • Address and resolve shipping issues quickly and effectively
  • Communicate with internal teams and customers regarding shipment status
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues

• Qualifications:
• • Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Prior supervisory or management experience required
  • Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, carrier systems, and logistics software
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping regulations
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities

• Preferred Qualifications:
• • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field

• Work Environment:
• • Warehouse and office environment
  • May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting
  • Possible extended hours during peak shipping periods
