KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate the shipping, packaging, and receiving of products, components, supplies, and materials according to company and customer requirements.
Process outbound shipments accurately using the companys MRP system.
Verify order details throughout the shipping process and enter all required information correctly.
Package products and materials for inbound and outbound freight.
Prepare shipping documents, labels, packing slips, and other required paperwork.
Contact carriers and coordinate freight pickups and deliveries.
Process domestic and international shipments according to applicable requirements.
Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records in accordance with company practices and industry standards.
Complete local deliveries or merchandise pickups as required.
Cross-train in the essential functions of the Inventory/Receiving group.
Assist with receiving, inventory, and material-handling duties when primary shipping responsibilities are completed.
Help maintain an organized, accurate, and efficient shipping and receiving area.
Perform additional shipping, materials, inventory, or warehouse duties as assigned.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 2 years of shipping, receiving, packaging, warehouse, or material-handling experience in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working with an MRP or similar inventory-management system.
Experience preparing shipping documentation and coordinating with freight carriers.
Familiarity with domestic and international shipping processes is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to verify order and shipment information accurately.
Ability to stay organized, work under pressure, and meet shipping deadlines.
Willingness to cross-train and support inventory and receiving operations as needed.
Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable handling multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of products, packages, components, and materials throughout the shift. Candidates must be comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and performing the physical responsibilities associated with shipping, receiving, packaging, and material handling.
