JOB SUMMARY:
Material Handlers work closely with Distribution, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to maintain organized, compliant, and audit-ready material management system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive, move, and stage materials in accordance with approved procedures and work instructions.
- Verify materials against documentation (labels, packing slips, work orders).
- Store materials in designated locations following FIFO/FEFO and material status controls.
- Issue materials to production using approved transactions and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in assigned areas.
- Operate manual material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks); forklift operation as trained.
- Comply with cGMP, safety, security, and site policies
QUALIFICATIONS
Required (All Levels)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse systems.
- Ability to follow SOPs, safety procedures, and cGMP requirements.
Preferred (All Levels)
- Prior warehouse or manufacturing experience in a regulated environment.
- Forklift or powered industrial truck certification.
- Experience with ERP/WMS systems.
- Knowledge of GMP/GDP requirements.
- Experience handling temperature-sensitive or hazardous materials
Level I Expectations
- Works under direct supervision.
- Performs routine, repetitive tasks using established procedures.
- Developing knowledge of GMP material handling requirements.
