Shipping/ Receiving Associate

? Pay: $17.00-18.00/hour
? Shift: 6:00 AM Finish

Openwork is currently hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate in Macon, GA! We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented individual with warehouse experience to join a fast-paced distribution team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring incoming and outgoing shipments are handled accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks safely and efficiently.
Receive, inspect, and verify shipments for accuracy and quality.
Prepare, package, label, and stage outgoing orders for shipment.
Accurately record inventory movements and shipping documentation.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (if certified).
Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
Perform inventory counts and assist with cycle counts as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Work closely with warehouse, production, and transportation teams to ensure on-time deliveries.
What You'll Need
Stable work history and reliable attendance.
Previous shipping and receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
Basic computer and math skills.
Ability to read shipping documents and follow work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Forklift experience is a plus.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures.
Repetitive lifting and movement throughout the shift.
