A leader in precision manufacturing is hiring for a Shipping Associate to support the movement of finished products and materials within its Lititz, PA operation.
This position is responsible for preparing manufactured products for shipment, coordinating outbound freight, completing shipping documentation, and ensuring orders are accurately packaged and delivered to customers.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on shipping experience in a manufacturing environment and understand the documentation, carrier coordination, and attention to detail required to move industrial products accurately and efficiently.
These openings are for 1st shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (occasional OT)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare finished manufactured products for shipment according to customer orders and established packaging requirements.
- Review orders and shipping instructions to verify part numbers, quantities, customer information, and shipment details.
- Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading (BOLs), and other required shipping documentation.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with freight carriers, couriers, and other transportation providers.
- Load and unload shipments safely while properly handling packaged parts, pallets, and other materials.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, customer orders, and other documentation.
- Inspect products and shipments for discrepancies, damage, shortages, or incorrect quantities and communicate issues appropriately.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate physical and electronic shipping records and update shipment information within applicable computer or ERP systems.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Work closely with production, quality, and other internal departments to ensure finished products are shipped accurately and on schedule.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics is required, with preference given to candidates who have worked in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling outbound shipments of manufactured products rather than exclusively performing high-volume warehouse order picking.
- Working knowledge of shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, and related paperwork.
- Experience coordinating shipments with freight carriers, couriers, or other transportation providers.
- Ability to accurately verify part numbers, quantities, orders, and shipment documentation.
- Experience operating a forklift and/or other material-handling equipment is highly preferred.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to work with shipping, inventory, ERP, or other logistics-related software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies before products leave the facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and outside carriers.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
- Reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
