Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and supply chain operations at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and has a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.

What You'll Do

Shipping Operations

  • Coordinate and schedule outbound shipments of finished goods, samples, equipment, and other materials.
  • Maintain shipping schedules and support timely customer order fulfillment.
  • Prepare shipping documentation and export paperwork as required.
  • Monitor shipments and work with carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain shipping performance records and reports.

Receiving Operations

  • Coordinate incoming deliveries and receiving schedules.
  • Receive, verify, inspect, and process incoming materials and supplies.
  • Process receipts for raw materials, MRO supplies, purchase orders, customer returns, and railcar deliveries.
  • Ensure products are properly identified, staged, and stored. 

Inventory & Warehouse Support

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse locations.
  • Perform inventory transactions using ERP systems and barcode scanners.
  • Support FIFO inventory management practices.
  • Participate in cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, warehouse organization, and housekeeping. 

Communication & Logistics

  • Collaborate with planning, operations, customer service, suppliers, and transportation providers.
  • Help resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory issues.
  • Coordinate vendor returns, waste, and scrap shipments as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits through accurate recordkeeping and documentation.

 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, inventory control, or logistics.
  • Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and warehouse operations. 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use computers, scanners, and other office or warehouse equipment.
