Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Location: Columbia, MD (Fully Onsite)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $24-$27/hour (based on experience)

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team in Columbia, MD. This fully onsite, contract-to-hire position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products in and out of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips

• Accurately document and label incoming and outgoing materials

• Prepare and package items for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping standards

• Maintain inventory records and perform regular cycle counts

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods

• Maintain a clean and organized shipping/receiving area

• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations

• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly preferred

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
