EDCO, INC. is a family-oriented manufacturing company seeking great people to join our team of talented engineers, fabricators, and machinists. EDCO provides a professional and fun environment working with a diversified set of customers, products, equipment, and manufacturing processes. An AISC Certified Fabricator, EDCO works with General Construction, Marine Construction, Renewable Energy, Aerospace, Defense, and other industries with a need for metal fabrication and specialized custom equipment.


Job Summary. We are looking for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working indoors and out. A successful candidate will assist our Production Manager and Logistics Coordinator with processing all in and outbound shipments, building crates, packing, labeling outbound shipments, and pickup/delivery of finished goods in company vehicles. Deliveries up and down I-5 typically as far as Seattle Metro Area. Other responsibilities associated with the position include actively practicing shop safety, forklift & crane operation, shipping & receiving, deburring finished parts, machine maintenance, and cleaning/housekeeping in the shop and yard.

This position requires excellent time management and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with supervision and independently. The candidate must have a current driver’s license and a clean driving record. Qualifications.

·        Valid driver's license without any major infractions, recent accidents, or traffic violations

·        Ability to pass a drug test including Marijuana

·        Mechanical aptitude with sound reasoning skills.

·        Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.

·        Ability to operate material handling equipment including a forklift and pallet jack.

·        Knowledge and ability to use basic handheld measuring tools and small power tools.

·        Experience working with power/air tools.

·        Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

·        Able to take direction effectively.

·        Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.

·        Strong safety conscious behavior.

Specific Activities. Activities include, but are not limited to:

·        Process in and outbound shipments including but not limited to sorting, counting logging, delivering, packing, and shipping in the shipping department.

·        Physically load and unload goods at each site in a safe and secure manner utilizing provided equipment if available.

·        Secure and properly tie down cargo using appropriate equipment, such as straps, chains, and tarps, to ensure safe transportation.

·        Observe all safety guidelines including but not limited to DOT, OSHA, and company policies and regulations.

·        Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies.

·        Maintain clean and safe indoor and outdoor areas, including breakrooms, shops, and other areas.

·        Perform general maintenance duties such as shop organization, general cleanup, and custodial work.

·        Cutting grass, stocking supplies, emptying garbage, unpacking delivered materials, and other general shop maintenance responsibilities.

·        Comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.

Education and Experience.

·        High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.

·        1+ years’ experience in warehouse facility preferred.

·        1+ years’ experience operating a commercial vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate. The employee frequently is required to move, reach, lift, handle, feel, ascend/descend, observe, inspect, detect, handle or position self to observe. Capability to lift or move up to 50lbs frequently. Ability to work in an industrial environment wearing hearing protection, vision protection and other appropriate protective clothing.

Work Environment.

·        Repetitive lifting and working in hot, cold, and/or wet work environments.

·        This job operates outside and at times in inclement weather as well as in a fabrication shop environment.

·        Must be able to remain standing/walking position for majority of the time.

·        There is exposure to machine oil, metal, plastic and wood particles, unpleasant odors, and noise.

·        Job functions on and around equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy, and safety awareness.

Schedule. Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts, may require some overtime work.

Job Type. Full-time, non-exempt position

Compensation. $20-$26 per hour, DOE
