SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Position Hours: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday-Friday
Pay Rate:$24.00/hour
Location: Hebron, OH
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping / Receiving Clerk to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, processing shipping documentation, and ensuring uninterrupted material flow between suppliers and customer locations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while supporting operational goals and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily material flow between suppliers and customer/job site locations.
Process and maintain all required documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
Coordinate with the Liaison and Supervisor to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials, preventing customer production interruptions.
Verify incoming shipments and accurately enter receiving transactions into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Generate and process shipping documentation through the WMS.
Process and transmit Advance Shipping Notices (ASNs) and EDI transactions within required customer timelines.
Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and organized office documentation.
Support operational activities including cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, record retention, and other administrative duties as assigned.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal team members regarding shipment status and delivery requirements.
Follow company safety, quality, and operational procedures at all times.
Contribute to a positive team environment through professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-focused attitude.
Qualifications
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse administration, logistics, or inventory control preferred.
Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, ASNs, and EDI transactions is preferred.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
