This position is ideal for someone who enjoys inventory management, material handling, and ensuring products are accurately received, stored, and shipped.Requirements
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred
- Forklift experience strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to count parts and maintain accurate records
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Commitment to workplace safety and use of required PPE
ResponsibilitiesAs a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will help ensure the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility while maintaining inventory accuracy. Duties include:
- Perform daily shipping and receiving activities
- Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Unpack, inspect, and route incoming shipments
- Identify, document, and report damaged or missing materials
- Communicate with carriers regarding shipment discrepancies
- Operate a forklift to move materials to storage or production areas
- Stock shelves using FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices
- Accurately count and verify incoming parts and materials
- Combine like inventory into designated storage locations
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist in other production areas as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment
- Must follow all company safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment
- Fast-paced setting requiring accuracy and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment including a forklift
