Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join a manufacturing operation in Tulsa. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting material flow throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate has previous forklift experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance shipping and receiving responsibilities with hands-on shop support. Candidates should be comfortable working in an industrial environment and assisting with equipment and material handling as needed.
Required Experience & Skills
Forklift operating experience required
Valid driver's license required
Clean driving record required
Must be a non-smoker
Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple shipments and responsibilities
Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop equipment
Ability to safely handle industrial and manufacturing materials
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Strong communication skills when working with coworkers, customers, and vendors
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials, products, and components
Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy
Verify quantities and materials against applicable shipping documentation
Prepare, package, and process outgoing customer orders
Ensure outgoing shipments are complete and properly prepared
Load and unload customer and vendor deliveries using a forklift
Move and stage materials throughout the facility
Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records
Track incoming and outgoing material movement
Assist with inventory organization and material storage
Ensure shipments are completed accurately and according to schedule
Communicate shipping or material discrepancies to appropriate personnel
Maintain clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving areas
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Assist with additional shop and material-handling duties as assigned
Forklift & Material Handling Responsibilities
Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks
Move materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas
Stage incoming and outgoing materials appropriately
Verify loads are stable and properly positioned before movement
Maintain awareness of pedestrians and other equipment while operating forklifts
Follow all company forklift and material-handling safety requirements
Shop Support Responsibilities
This position may also assist with general manufacturing and shop activities, including:
Using hand tools and basic shop equipment
Moving and organizing production materials
Supporting material needs throughout the facility
Operating a band saw when required and qualified
Assisting production personnel with general shop duties
Maintaining organized material and equipment areas
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Shipping & Receiving Clerk experience
Manufacturing or machine shop experience
Industrial warehouse experience
Forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment
Inventory control experience
Shipping documentation experience
Material-handling experience
Band saw operating experience
Experience using hand tools and shop equipment
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs without assistance
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Ability to safely enter and exit forklifts throughout the workday
Ability to safely handle manufacturing and warehouse materials
Comfortable working around forklifts, trucks, machinery, and industrial equipment
Ability to perform physically active shipping and receiving work throughout the shift
