Your key responsibilities
Coordinate the workflow of the Receiving Department, including prioritization of activities and distributing work to assigned personnel.
Perform all Receiving functions, including checking deliveries for correct items/count/weight, sampling incoming raw materials, and reporting discrepancies or damages.
Maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly manner, ensuring quarantined materials are properly segregated and storing approved raw materials correctly.
Communicate and coordinate between departments to resolve PO discrepancies and ensure safe handling and storage of products.
Perform daily maintenance checks on material handling equipment and ensure proper working conditions.
Support the Logistics Manager in ensuring overall safety and environmental compliance on the Receiving floor, including direct supervision during hazardous duties and adherence to safety practices.
Perform daily or weekly inventory cycle counts according to schedule to ensure high levels of stock accuracy.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
Maintain organized stock locations, ensuring all items are correctly labeled with SKUs and barcodes.
Transport materials safely from the receiving dock to designated storage locations, racking systems, or production lines.
Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers) in compliance with safety standards.
Optimize warehouse space by consolidating inventory and keeping aisles clear of hazards.I
