Position Summary The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing daily outbound shipping activities to ensure accurate, timely, and costeffective delivery of customer orders. This role serves as the primary link between the warehouse, freight carriers, and internal teams to maintain smooth shipping operations and high service levels.Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily outbound shipments, including parcel, LTL, and full truckload ordersPrepare and verify shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, labels, customs paperwork as required)Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to schedule carrier pickups and communicate shipment details to carriers and internal stakeholdersEnsure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with company and carrier requirementsMonitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, damages, or delivery issuesMaintain accurate shipping records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) computer systemsVerify freight bills and assist with freight claims as neededCollaborate with warehouse teams to prioritize orders and adjust to changing volume or deadlinesSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping accuracy, cost, and efficiencyAdhere to safety policies and standard operating proceduresQualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operationsWorking knowledge of common shipping methods (UPS, FedEx, LTL, FTL)Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Transportation Management System (TMS) business computer systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentClear communication skills and a customerservice mindsetProficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)Preferred Skills Experience coordinating freight across multiple carriersFamiliarity with freight cost control and basic rate analysisExperience in highvolume distribution or manufacturing environmentsForklift certification or willingness to obtain (if applicable)Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Ontime shipment performanceShipping accuracy rateFreight cost adherenceDocumentation and system accuracyCarrier issue resolution timelinessPhysical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, and walk in a warehouse environmentAble to lift up to 50 lbs occasionallyComfortable working around material handling equipmentBehaviors Team Player - Works well as a member of a groupDetail Oriented - Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done wellMotivations Self-Starter - Inspired to perform without outside helpWork-Life Balance - Inspired to perform well by having ample time to pursue work and interests outside of workPeer Recognition - Inspired to perform well by the praise of coworkersSkills Vendor Management (preferred)Picking and Filling Orders (preferred)Organizational Skills (preferred)MS Office Software (preferred)Lift 50 lbs repeatedly (preferred)Forklift Experience (preferred)Computer skills (preferred)Billing and Shipping (preferred)Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
