Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient management of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper packaging, and timely delivery. Your expertise in warehouse operations, including the use of warehouse management systems and RF scanners, will help maintain smooth logistics flow and support our e-commerce and distribution channels. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about optimizing warehouse processes, this opportunity is perfect for you! Hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of shipments, verifying accuracy with RF scanners and warehouse management systems
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items according to specifications
• Maintain inventory accuracy through stock replenishment, stock rotation, and cycle counts using our systems
• Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit while adhering to safety standards
• Operate order pickers and MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems) to facilitate efficient order fulfillment
• Document all shipping and receiving activities accurately in logs and reports, including inbound/outbound shipments and incident reports

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or distribution environments
• Strong computer background knowledge
• PROVEN 3+ years experience in leadership role in shipping & receiving
• Valid forklift certification with experience operating reach trucks and pallet jacks
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP systems, RF scanners, and order picker equipment
• Strong understanding of order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, stock management, and load & unload procedures
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations required during packing or loading processes
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively
