Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator role in Portland, OR. Our client is a well-established manufacturing company known for producing high-quality products while maintaining a strong commitment to teamwork, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and plays a key role in supporting daily operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare reports for plant and production managers.
  • Print and distribute pick tickets for production and shipping.
  • Create shipping paperwork, packing slips, and barcode labels.
  • Schedule outbound shipments with carriers.
  • Receive and verify incoming shipments.
  • Maintain customer-specific shipping instructions and documentation.
  • File and organize regulatory paperwork.
  • Serve as the NAFTA Coordinator and maintain applicable documentation.
  • Order and maintain shipping and office supplies.
  • Collaborate with production, warehouse, and management teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, logistics, or manufacturing administrative experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Resourceful problem solver with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows.
  • Strong typing and data entry skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software, policies, and procedures.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to meet and exceed performance goals.
  • Professional, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment screening as permitted under Oregon law.
