Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator

Schedule: Monday - Friday;
Description of Position:
Do you have Shipping, Receiving, and Forklift Operation experience? Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate with forklift operation skills to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is ideal for someone who values safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a dynamic environment. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling orders, managing shipping documentation, operating forklifts, and ensuring accurate and timely movement of materials. You will also collaborate with internal teams to support smooth logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately assemble orders based on packing lists
- Prepare and organize paperwork for driver packets
- Communicate with project managers regarding order details and updates
- Ensure proper distribution of required placards to drivers
- Scan and submit order documentation to project managers
- Load and unload flatbed and box trucks using ramps
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently ("low and slow" practices)
- Assist with inventory tracking and updating shipment records
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well established company in Benicia, California that specializes in bridge deck preservation and polymer concrete.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or related industry
- Forklift operation experience required
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a continuous basis
- Basic math skills, including use of a calculator and simple algebra
- Strong communication skills (must be able to read, write, and speak English)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills
