Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator

Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Forklift Operator, where your skills will drive efficiency and accuracy in our warehouse operations. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and slipsheet forklifts to manage the movement of goods, ensuring timely shipping and receiving processes. Your expertise will help maintain smooth warehouse distribution, support order fulfillment, and uphold high standards of safety and organization. Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts, slipsheet, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
• Manage inbound shipments by verifying deliveries against shipping documents using RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Prepare outbound shipments by picking, packing, and staging orders accurately for dispatch
• Utilize warehouse distribution systems such as AS400 and MRP software to track inventory levels and update stock records
• Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring proper organization for easy access and inventory control
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and storage areas to maintain safety standards and prevent accidents
• Assist with inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to support accurate stock management

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts, slip sheet, pallet jacks, and order pickers in a warehouse environment
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory software such as AS400 or MRP systems
• Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures within a distribution or e-commerce setting
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and packing processes
• Prior experience with order fulfillment, stocking, packaging, and load & unload operations preferred
• Warehouse experience involving order picking & packing to ensure accurate delivery timelines
