Shipping & Receiving  I

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate I to support daily warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and shipment of materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring all shipments are processed efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, process, and ship materials, products, and supplies in a timely manner.
  • Verify inbound and outbound shipments against packing slips, shipping documents, and other records to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare and complete shipping documentation, including packing slips, labels, and related paperwork.
  • Coordinate shipments using parcel and freight carriers.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately process receiving transactions and maintain inventory records using computer-based systems.
  • Collaborate with warehouse, production, purchasing, and inventory teams to support operational needs.
  • Load and unload trucks, deliveries, and material transfers safely and efficiently.
  • Operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts, as authorized.
  • Escalate inventory, shipment, or documentation discrepancies to leadership.
  • Assist with tracking operational metrics and maintaining accurate records as needed.
  • Cross-train in various warehouse functions to support team flexibility and coverage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or material handling preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management and ERP systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, shipping documents, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with parcel and freight shipping processes is a plus.
  • Forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification, preferred.
Working Environment
  • Work is performed primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing setting.
  • Frequent interaction with production, purchasing, inventory, and warehouse personnel.
  • Exposure to varying warehouse conditions and routine material movement activities.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive movements as needed.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and handle materials.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to process shipments and complete inventory transactions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials consistent with the essential functions of the position.
Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
