Openwork is currently seeking a dependable and experienced Shipping & Receiving Leadman for an opportunity in La Porte, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position will help lead the team while also assisting with forklift and warehouse operations as needed. Key Responsibilities
Lead and communicate with the warehouse team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
Multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Perform the same duties as a Forklift Operator when needed
Assist with shipping, receiving, storage, and general warehouse operations
Ensure work is completed accurately and according to company procedures
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Support the team and provide direction when needed
Requirements
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
Comfortable working in an indoor/outdoor warehouse environment, including possible extreme weather conditions
Must be willing to work outside normal scheduled hours as needed
Punctuality is a must
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively with a team
Must be willing to perform forklift duties when needed
Must pass the client's Forklift Driver Exam – theory and hands-on practice
Must follow all company safety rules and procedures
