Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to lead warehouse operations for a growing manufacturing company in Elmhurst. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the shipping and receiving team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and driving process improvements to increase operational efficiency.
Job Duties:
Lead, train, and develop the shipping and receiving team.
- Oversee daily shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely ERP transactions and inventory management.
- Maintain organized warehouse operations and FIFO inventory practices.
- Partner with production and internal teams to support operational goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper use of material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, supply chain, or related experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
