Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler - AM Shift

Openwork is partnering with a respected industrial company to hire a dependable Shipping & Receiving / Material Handler. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in an active environment.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will support daily operations by receiving, handling, and shipping materials efficiently while maintaining safety and organization across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and condition.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and warehouse equipment.
• Offload materials received from vendors and ensure proper handling.
• Store and organize materials in designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments.
• Complete shipping documentation such as bills of lading and packing slips.
• Move materials throughout the facility to support operations.
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with cycle counts.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safety-focused.
• Work outdoors approximately 70% of the time.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods.
• Forklift experience required, with the ability to safely handle sensitive materials.
• Experience offloading and handling vendor shipments.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds regularly.
• Basic computer skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Qualifications:

• 2 + years of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling.
• Proven reliability and strong work history.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
