Shipping / Receiving Specialist

SHIPPING / RECEIVING SPECIALIST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Receive, inspect, and verify all inbound shipments.

- Identify and report missing, damaged, or incorrect shipments.

- Track and coordinate customer returns with internal teams.

- Package materials securely with correct labeling and documentation.

- Load company trucks with proper labeling and documentation.

- Ensure shipments meet requested timelines and delivery requirements.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, freight brokers, and internal teams.

- Track truck schedules including departures, arrivals, and delivery routes.

- Escalate time-sensitive issues and provide regular status updates to leadership.

- Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all inter-facility movements.

- Follow OSHA and internal safety standards at all times.

- Maintain organized pallet staging areas.




REQUIREMENTS:

HS Diploma or equivalent

2+ years of shipping receiving experience

Forklift certification required

Experience scheduling trucks

Knowledge of truck freight rates

Working knowledge of Windows/Excel/Access and Parts and Vendor programs

Organized and able to work with deadlines

Good communication skills, able to communicate with broker and carrier
