Role Overview
Our client is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support daily warehouse operations, including domestic and international shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, and shipment documentation. This role will ensure materials are accurately processed, safely handled, properly stored, and shipped in compliance with company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Prepare, pack, label, and process domestic and international shipments.
Receive incoming materials and inspect deliveries for accuracy and condition.
Complete and verify shipping and receiving documentation.
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Safely move and store materials throughout the warehouse.
Support hazardous material and air freight shipping activities in compliance with applicable regulations.
Verify bills of lading, packing lists, inventory records, and other shipping documentation.
Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and properly identify materials.
Utilize SAP and other systems to process transactions, manage inventory, and track shipments.
Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control activities.
Communicate with internal teams, carriers, and logistics partners to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or material handling.
Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment.
Ability to accurately complete and verify shipping and receiving documentation.
Ability to safely handle and move warehouse materials.
Experience with inventory transactions and warehouse systems.
Ability to follow safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using SAP in a warehouse or logistics environment.
Experience with hazardous material or air freight shipments.
Familiarity with IATA and DOT shipping requirements.
Experience with international shipping.
Experience performing cycle counts and inventory control activities.
