SHIPPING and RECEIVING SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
BASIC PURPOSE:
Manage and supervise the daily shipments and the receiving of supplies. Attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Prior supervisor experience preferred.
FUNCTIONAL SCOPE:
Run daily shipping reports. Shipping and receiving of parts and supplies. Managing of inventory.
Prioritize the daily shipping schedule to effectively meet customer needs.
Develop and improve inventory procedures to maximize space and efficiency.
III. DAILY SHIPMENTS
Receive daily shipments of pats and supplies insuring accuracy of packing list and inspect deliveries for defects.
Good communication skills in order to communicate to sales customer service.
Strong computer skills.
Forklift experience preferred.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
