Job Description
We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Support Associate for a growing logistics and distribution company in South River, NJ. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced shipping and receiving environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for checking drivers in and out, entering orders, inspecting loads, and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations.
Contract to Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $23/hr

Contract to Hire

Responsibilities
- Check drivers in and out and ensure all required shipping and receiving information is accurately documented.
- Enter orders and shipment information into the appropriate system.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing loads for accuracy, condition, and proper documentation.
- Take photographs of loads when necessary for documentation and recordkeeping.
- Verify shipment details and communicate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with daily shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments and deliveries.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, warehouse personnel, and other team members.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain an organized work environment.
- Perform other shipping, receiving, and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or related experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer skills and ability to enter information accurately.
- Ability to communicate professionally with drivers and internal team members.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to inspect loads and identify potential discrepancies or issues.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
