Job Description:

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practicesand procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents, and route merchandise to destinations.

Job Requirements

  • Responsible for ensuring any movement of parts are also transacted in SAP

  • Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods

  • Supports the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of goods and supplies used in production or storage

  • Responsible for planning pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer's purchase order, as conveyed through shipping instructions

  • Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments; rejects damaged items; records shortages; and coordinates with shippers to resolve issues

  • Receives and processes defective parts returned for replacement or credit

  • Receives parts into stock from goods receipt dock, production finished goods, and quality inspection

  • Supports production by picking, kitting, and delivering parts to production areas for value-added processes

  • Completes daily/weekly cycle counts

  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor

  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and ensures adequate supply levels

  • Maintains a clean, orderly work area and follows safety regulations

  • Accesses customer shipping portals

  • Coordinates with planners, cross-functional teams, and freight forwarders

  • Coordinates with Trade Compliance on export shipments and resolves related issues

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Supports Planner/Schedulers with work order execution and coordination

  • Identifies and locates distressed work orders and/or parts within operational WIP (Work in Progress)

  • Drives and participates in continuous improvement initiatives within warehouse operations

This position is a 2nd shift 11am-7:30pm

What your background should look like

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • At least 1 year of shipping and receiving experience

  • Familiarity with SAP preferred

  • Inventory management and/or reconciliation experience

  • Manufacturing support experience

  • Experience handling vital documents

  • Previous mail processing experience preferred; knowledge of postal regulations a plus

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs and walk considerable distances

  • Ability to follow moderately complex instructions and make independent decisions

  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs regularly

  • Ability to read/write English, follow verbal instructions, and perform basic math

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $47,900 – $71,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
