Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily activities of the warehouse operations. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse. The Team Lead will lead a team of warehouse associates and work closely with other departments to meet production goals and maintain inventory accuracy.

• Supervision and Team Management:
  • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
  • Foster a positive and safe working environment, promoting teamwork and cooperation.
• Warehouse Operations:
  • Oversee the receiving, sorting, storing, and shipping of products or materials.
  • Ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurately recorded, inspected, and documented.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate stock records.
• Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to guarantee that products meet established standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of products and warehouse facilities to identify and resolve any quality or safety issues.
• Process Improvement:
  • Continuously assess warehouse processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflow and reduce operational costs.
• Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all warehouse activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse associates and enforce safe work practices.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Generate and maintain reports related to warehouse activities, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment, and productivity metrics.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding warehouse performance and any challenges or concerns.
• Training and Development:
  • Train new hires on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of the warehouse team.

Hourly Rate $23.99 - $26.19 per hour

Qualifications

 Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-4 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and other departments.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address operational challenges.
