Shipping & Receiving Tech Job Description 1st Shift ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including the following, however other duties may apply) - Operate forklift to load and unload trucks.
- Package components for outbound shipments by stacking, bundling or palletizing parts and securing them with a banding machine if necessary.
- Accurately identify product/components for listing on load documents.
- Build accurate shipping manifests for Epicor intercompany shipments.
- Maintain and organize components in the load staging areas and the storage lots.
- Verify accuracy and turn in receiving documents daily and maintain files.
- Maintain inventory of all shipping supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: - General knowledge of the product line and be able to make accurate component identifications.
- Must be able to write legibly and fill out required load paperwork and receiving documents.
- Must possess general math skills and have the ability to count correctly.
- Must be able to read measuring devices.
- Must have good organizational skills both for record keeping and physical inventory.
- Must be able to work independently without continuous supervision.
- Must have a forklift operator certification.
- Must have general knowledge of operating an overhead crane.
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
