This role is essential in ensuring accurate shipments, efficient material handling, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.This position is empowered to identify and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess and verify incoming and outgoing shipmentsLoad and unload trucks efficiently and safelyOperate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, shrink wrappers, and bandersTransport finished goods from production to the shipping departmentRead and interpret packing lists, work orders, and product identification tagsEnsure accuracy in order numbers, quantities, and shipment detailsPerform daily forklift inspections and basic maintenance checksCoordinate with drivers, carriers, and internal teamsMaintain organized documentation, including packing lists and shipping recordsAssist with inventory, cleaning, and other assigned tasksFollow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and PPE useQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED requiredPrevious shipping/receiving or warehouse experience preferredForklift certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Skills & AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyBasic math and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to maintain professionalism with internal teams and external driversPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 35 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs continuouslyStand for extended periods throughout the dayUse required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, and glovesWork EnvironmentClean, industrial setting within the shipping and receiving areaTemperature varies seasonally due to open dock doors and truck trafficCompensation & BenefitsCompensation:Hourly rate of $17.00 – $21.00 per hour, based on experience and skillOpportunities for overtime may be available based on business needsBenefits Include:Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysPaid Training OpportunitiesPost offer pre-employment drug test required.
