Description
Superior Recruiting Agency is currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk for a confidential manufacturing client. This position is responsible for supporting daily shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations while ensuring materials and finished products are processed accurately, efficiently, and safely.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, strong organizational skills, forklift experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.
Job Responsibilities
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving incoming materials, preparing outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all shipping and receiving documentation is completed correctly. This position plays an important role in supporting production by coordinating the timely movement of raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
Daily responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, maintaining inventory records within the company's ERP system, preparing shipping documentation, operating forklifts and material handling equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies.
The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and Office personnel to maintain an efficient flow of materials while supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment preferred
- Previous experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment required
- Current forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification upon hire
- Experience loading and unloading trucks, trailers, and freight safely and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and inventory management procedures
- Experience verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and shipping documentation
- Ability to prepare outbound shipments while ensuring accurate packaging, labeling, documentation, and customer-specific shipping requirements
- Experience utilizing ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or inventory software; JobBOSS experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of inventory transactions, cycle counts, physical inventory, lot control, and material traceability
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, purchase orders, blueprints, packing slips, shipping instructions, and inventory reports
- Experience maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting inventory accuracy initiatives
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards, documentation control, and manufacturing procedures is preferred
- Ability to coordinate with Quality Assurance for incoming material inspections and non-conforming material procedures
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and data entry
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Purchasing, Production, Quality, Warehouse, and Office departments
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting production schedules and shipping deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company safety policies
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the workday
- Reliable attendance, professional attitude, and strong work ethic required
