GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Shipping & Stockroom Material Handler 2 serves as the operational link between the 1st shift Shipping and Stockroom departments and 2nd shift leadership, ensuring continuity, communication, and workflow efficiency across both shifts. This position is designed to provide flexible support in areas where 1st shift capacity is greatest, carrying forward unfinished priorities, open needs, and departmental expectations into the evening hours. This role is responsible for coordinating all assigned duties associated with Shipping and Stockroom processes including the issuing of material requirements through LN. You will have daily directions at the beginning of shifts and a clear understanding of what the current daily needs are and how to effectively communicate those needs to the 2nd shift supervisor.
A strong work ethic, adaptability, and a proactive mindset are essential, as this position requires the ability to independently identify, prioritize, and act on areas needing immediate attention without direction from supervision present. Effective problem-solving, cross-functional awareness, and consistent communication between shifts are the cornerstones of this role.

EXPERIENCE: 2 years and up (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience).
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Minimum or Basic skills: Ability to log in, log out, and easily navigate through MS Windows-based interface.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

SALARY RANGE
The starting hourly rate for the role, including differential, is between USD $20.00 to $25.00. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. The role may also be eligible for variable bonus programs and benefits.
