Shipping Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Reports To:Shipping Manager.Description:Directs the daily activities of the Shipping department in conjunction with the Group Leaders and employees in their goal of shipping finished goods to customers in a correct and timely manner.Responsibilities:Assists Group Leaders in their daily activities.Investigates and solves intra-departmental problems that may occur in daily operations.Maintains accurate records of necessary data.Initiates Corrective Action Requests and follows through to completion.Coordinates with other departments on inventory levels and other related matters.Seeks better ways of operation to maximize output.Maintains inter-departmental communications.Creates an environment within the department that is positive and encourages employee involvement.Provides and maintains a safe and clean working environment following prescribed guidelines.Supports the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and environmental policies.Education:High School Degree, GED or higher.Experience: N/A>Skills:Computer skills in working with Windows operating system as well as Word Processor, Spreadsheet software.Basic typing proficiencyTraining Specific to position: N/A>Other:Good organizational skills.Good communication skillsCapable of working any assigned shift.Must be able to travel with limited notice.Possess good leadership skills.This job description should not be construed to imply that these requirements are exclusive standards of the position.
