Shipping Supervisor

Schedule: 7am-5pm

Position Overview

We are hiring a Shipping Supervisor to lead daily warehouse shipping operations and oversee a team responsible for accurate and timely order fulfillment. This role is ideal for someone with experience in warehouse operations, logistics, shipping, or distribution environments who enjoys leading teams and maintaining efficient operations.

The Shipping Supervisor will manage outbound shipments, coordinate logistics activities, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Supervise, train, and support warehouse associates
• Create schedules and assist with staffing needs
• Monitor attendance and employee performance
• Promote teamwork and maintain productivity goals
• Assist with employee coaching and conflict resolution

Shipping & Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily shipping activities and outbound orders
• Verify accurate picking, packing, labeling, and staging of shipments
• Ensure products meet quality standards before dispatch
• Coordinate carrier pickups and shipment schedules
• Process shipping paperwork including Bills of Lading (BOLs)
• Track shipments and resolve discrepancies when needed

Inventory & Systems

• Maintain inventory accuracy and warehouse organization
• Perform cycle counts and monitor inventory levels
• Track packaging supplies and shipping materials
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory software
• Maintain shipping documentation and reports

Safety & Compliance

• Enforce company safety procedures and warehouse standards
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safe work practices
• Conduct safety observations and support continuous improvement
• Follow SOPs and shipping regulations

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 2 years of warehouse, shipping, logistics, or distribution experience
• Previous lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations
• Experience with inventory systems, shipping software, WMS, or ERP platforms
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

• Forklift certification
• Experience using SAP, Oracle, or similar warehouse systems
• Inventory control experience
• Experience handling Bills of Lading and shipping documentation
