Shipping Supervisor
Florence, AL
Arcadian Services is now hiring a Shipping Supervisor in our Florence, Alabama location!
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping Supervisor to oversee daily shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising a small team, managing inventory movement, and ensuring materials are handled safely and accurately.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience/shipping/receiving experience preferred
- 2+ years of forklift experience required
- Experience in handling hazardous materials is a plus
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- CDL is a plus
- Ability to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and move throughout warehouse environment
- Comfortable operating warehouse equipment and working in a fast-paced setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of 2-3 employees
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material transfers between facilities
- Prepare orders for shipment and ensure accurate documentation
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and bills of lading
- Work with freight carriers to schedule shipments and obtain freight rates
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely
- Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse transfers
- Train employees and provide feedback
- Ensure compliance with company safety and environmental policies
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams
