Shipping Supervisor
Hayward, CA | Full-Time | Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a hands-on Shipping Supervisor to lead daily shipping and logistics operations at their Hayward facility. This role is responsible for supervising the shipping team, ensuring accurate and on-time shipments, improving department performance, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate has experience managing shipping personnel, conducting performance reviews, coaching employees, handling progressive discipline, and tracking shipping KPIs. Bilingual English/Spanish is required to effectively communicate with the current team.
Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coach, and develop Shipping & Packaging Clerks and the company driver.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and manage progressive discipline.
  • Schedule daily workloads and ensure on-time shipment performance.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments using FedEx, UPS, and similar shipping systems.
  • Monitor and improve shipping KPIs, including on-time delivery, shipping accuracy, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
  • Plan delivery routes and support shipping, packaging, and receiving activities as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and ensure accurate shipping documentation.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and continuous improvement-focused work environment.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (Required)
  • 5+ years of shipping, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of direct supervisory experience leading a shipping or warehouse team.
  • Experience conducting employee performance reviews, coaching, and progressive discipline.
  • Experience managing shipping KPIs and departmental performance.
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS WorldShip, or similar shipping software.
  • Forklift experience and a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
  • Semiconductor or precision manufacturing experience.
  • ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
