The Loading Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient loading, shipping, and receiving operations within the facility. This role leads and directs the work of hourly employees and supervisors, ensuring materials are accurately processed, documented, and delivered in accordance with customer requirements and company standards. The Loading Supervisor is responsible for maintaining operational efficiency, supporting safety initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across logistics and loading activities.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor''s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of supervisory experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, or related operations preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, required.
  • Experience with JDE or other ERP systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of shipping, receiving, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to analyze processes and implement operational improvements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Prepare loading documents and assign equipment to loads consistent with customer orders.
  • Review loading instructions and ensure all special customer requirements are met.
  • Review and prioritize loading schedules to meet operational and customer demands.
  • Coordinate transportation and schedule shipments with approved carrier partners.
  • Review inventory and select the appropriate products for customer orders.
  • Supervise employees engaged in shipping, receiving, and loading operations.
  • Ensure materials are verified against customer orders, bills of lading, vendor invoices, and other shipping documentation.
  • Maintain records of shipments, receipts, inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and product variances.
  • Record and verify shipment information, including quantities, dates, sources, and destinations.
  • Lead daily safety meetings and facilitate safety discussions and training initiatives.
  • Conduct Risky Behavior Audits and Stop Audits in accordance with company requirements.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and support employee development.
  • Assist with personnel decisions, including hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions, and staffing needs.
  • Evaluate shipping, receiving, and loading processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Directly supervises employees engaged in loading, shipping, and receiving activities.
  • May supervise Level I Supervisors.
  • Responsible for employee coaching, performance management, and participation in hiring and disciplinary decisions.
