Shipping Technician - Shift 2B Plant 6 - Shawano

Belmark is seeking an individual to join our team at our Flexible Packaging plant in Shawano, WI. You may be wondering - what do we do here at Belmark? Well, we create packaging using flexible film that consumers see daily while shopping for various items. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging, labelling and staging printed products in a timely manner to meet customer needs. Schedule:

• PM shift hours are from 4:00 P.M. - 4:00 A.M. with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off
• 12 hour shifts with consistent hours, NO SWING SHIFT
• Overtime after 36 hours! Double-time after 44 hours!
• Pay: 23.87 with a $2.00 per hour shift differential.

What will I do in this role?

• Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Responsible for packaging printed product and processing all orders by scheduled ship dates. Must be able to multitask and succeed in a fast-paced work environment.
• High levels of attention to detail is needed to ensure all printed product packaging specifications are followed and completed accurately.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with Account Service and Finished Product personnel to meet daily shipment deadlines.
• Will work with third party logistic software systems to determine the best and most economical shipping method that will meet customer needs.
• Must be able to provide accurate job order data entry and be able to use Federal Express/UPS software systems.
• Ability to use an automated stretch wrap machine used to wrap orders shipping out on skids.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
• Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Ability to: stand and walk for 90% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 10% of work time.
• Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; see clearly at 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; observe and area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.
• Ability to: use hands for 100% of work time (i.e. packing boxes, utility knife, etc.); and reach above shoulders for 25% of work time.
• Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 20% of work time; 25 pounds or less 20% of work time; 50 pounds or less 50% of work time. (Example: lifting box of labels on to and off of the scale approximately 6 ft.)
