Overview
Requires loading cars, keeping up with inventory, operating mobile equipment, clean up, following the crane, stacking/re-stacking of bundles. All duties assigned by the supervisor are to be performed in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Placing dunnage on stacks, trucks, or railcars
- Scanning material in and out of inventory
- Visually inspect material for apparent surface defects
- Band bundles and railcars as required
- Operate mobile equipment including truck shifter, forklift and rail shifter
- Load trucks and railcars with finished material, billets and secondary items
- Secure and tarp trailers as required
- Communicate with drivers and other departments
- Work and cover overtime when required
- Stack/ re-stack steel bundles
- Any other duties assigned by Leadership
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Practical computer skills
Preferred:
- 2- Year Verifiable work experience in an industrial environment.
