The Job You Will Perform:

This position reports to the Plant General Manager at the St. Anthony Sheet Plant and is a hands-on leadership position responsible for providing direction to the Shipping Lead and all forklift operators and deliver results on key operational metrics. In addition, the Shipping Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the following:

• Leads and directs daily activities of the warehouse, including productivity, quality, service, and on-time delivery in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring customer requirements and organization goals are achieved.

• Ensures all work is performed in a safe, clean, productive environment. Promotes safety and housekeeping by following established safety rules and procedures.

• Support HSE initiatives and programs; is committed to a safe work environment and helps to ensure that all IP safety and health reliable methods and federal and state OSHA requirements are in place and followed.

• Manages and coordinates daily activities for all shifts in the facility.

• Stay abreast of people needs and issues in the plant and assure effective resolution of identified issues and needs.

• Establish high morale within your department by showing fairness, consistency, and an interest in employee problems. Maintain confidentiality.

• Works closely with customer service department, production planning, finishing, accounting and sales to ensure full customer satisfaction.

• Manages and orders all Sheet stock

• Manages all warehouse space to best service of our customers

• Manages Returned Goods process

• Manages inventory with the assistance of the sales team in customer locations

• Works closely with customer service to maintain HRMS integrity specific to shipping bill of lading process

• Works closely with plant frontline leaders and superintendent to coordinate all shipping activities at the main plant and offsite locations and warehouses.

• Facilitate completion of all monthly Sheet and Finished Good inventory

• Ensures that trucks are scheduled to the best efficiency, keeping in mind freight costs and ship to locations when coordinating the preparation of the daily shipping schedule.

• Schedules deliveries 24 hours/per day per customer demands.

• Cost analysis for all deliveries and customer pick-ups

• Maintains relationship with contracted truckers for best rates

• Organizes teams to guarantee loads are checked for correct quantities, weight, and quality of loads.

• Guarantees that lift drivers maintain up to date safety training, coaches and facilitates the team for better efficiency.

• Maintains the integrity of finished goods inventory inside the facility and in outside warehouses. Works closely with accounting and customer service to ensure accuracy of data. Responsible for tracking inventory.

• Maintains and keeps current the overall knowledge of costs associated with the shipping department.

• Manages costs relative to pallet expenses.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

• Previous shipping/warehouse experience highly preferred.

• Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry highly preferred.
