Shipping Worker

Job Description:

Responsible for performing basic shipping tasks in a manufacturing facility

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares and packages products for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

• Operates basic shipping equipment, such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and wrapping machines.

• Maintains accurate records of shipped goods in the inventory management system.

• Assists in loading trucks and containers.

• Ensures the cleanliness and organization of the shipping area.

• Follows all safety protocols and guidelines.

• Nails and staples guns to the operational equipment bullet.

• Responds to emails when necessary.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is preferred but not required. Forklift, Manlift, and Tractor certification may be required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.

• Good communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment.

Essential Physical Functions:

• Lift up to 50lbs.
• Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours.
• Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.

Pay Range:

$17.28 - $25.91
